A one-man show written and performed by Richard Dax

A young understudy learning the trade and attempting to follow in the footsteps of the great actors waits impatiently in a West End dressing room, listening for that magical call; "you're on!"

Will it happen tonight or will it just be another evening of wild imagination and endless cups of tea? Discover the delights of the company fridge, the Equity notice board ten years out of date, or pride yourself in the knowledge that the understudy dressing room is four chairs and two jumpers wide, such is the boredom of the understudy.

Meet Terry Schulberg, entertainment agent to the stars, Eddie Stevens the classical old ham who leaves his performance in the whisky bottle and Simon, the enthusiastic stage manager who has a fascination with pens!

This hilarious, often thought provoking piece examines the perilous and surreal life of an actor and his struggle to make a living from the noble art. Performed in one hour, Where's the Chocolate Biscuits is a must for any working actor and a faithful reminder to the resting actor of the fickle nature of the acting profession.
